The efficacy and safety of cenobamate were determined in two randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials that included 655 adults with partial-onset seizures. The patients had a median seizure frequency of 8.5 seizures every 28 days during an 8-week baseline period. The trials showed that 100, 200, and 400 milligrams per day significantly lowered seizure frequency compared to placebo.
